Training with Joe has been the best thing I have done for myself. It has not only altered the way my body looks, but also has changed how I feel about myself and my overall “being”. I've become a fit, confident and sassy mom who is a positive role model to my daughter. Since I was new to the world of diet and exercise, Joe started at the very beginning. We sat down and discussed in depth what I wanted to accomplish and what my goals were. He personalized a meal plan and a structured strength training, cardio and core regimen specific to my goals. Within weeks I was seeing positive results on the scale and my energy levels were through the roof. Joe's science background and extensive knowledge of fitness and nutrition have allowed me continued success. My success is not without plateaus and setbacks. The important thing is to learn from these and accept that “life happens” or it is ok……..just get back on track. He's always been successful in getting me back on track by altering my diet and/or workouts. He provides the tools necessary and it is my job to take these tools and drive myself to where I need to be. Joe takes ample time before, during and after our sessions to answer my questions and concerns thoroughly. Joe leads by example and he prides himself on maintaining his own high standards by practicing what he preaches. He would never ask me to do something that he would not do himself. Joe is an artist when it comes to workouts. He thinks outside the box and makes training challenging and fun. I look forward to our sessions, wondering what crazy and exciting things I will get to do. I am able to concentrate on completing the activities since I know that Joe is watching my form and posture to make sure I'm doing the activity correct and quickly has me stop if my form starts to falter. I cannot describe what a satisfying feeling it is to complete one of Joe's “killer” workouts. The sense of accomplishment is amazing! I have been able to achieve a fitness level I thought I could only dream of. Thanks to Joe's guidance, patience, commitment and passion for nutrition and exercise, I am making better choices and living a healthier lifestyle. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone who is looking for a seriously good trainer. You will not be disappointed and will soon understand the “fitness fever” I have caught by training with him. Thanks Joe!!!!!

In the past I have worked out with different trainers but I hadn’t been able to change my body significantly - until training with Joe. I felt like I was in pretty good shape but my weight had stayed the same for some time and I thought that at my age it probably wasn’t going to change... Joe created a fairly strict FOOD PLAN and weight training/cardio routine for me and over a six week period I was able to lose weight and lower my body fat percentage as well as gain muscle. I am probably in the best shape of my life as I train for my first marathon. I moved about 6 weeks ago and the thing I miss most – my killer “Joe workouts”!!!

Joe …a sincere thanks for all you have done to help me. You have taught me a lot, things about nutrition I never even gave a second thought about before. It will be something that for the rest of my life I will be able to be conscious about and make good decisions with. I am excited to be able to instill life long health in my children's lives and give them a great chance to be active, healthy, and happy. This weekend I am doing a 50 mile ride, I would have had a hard time riding 5 miles a year ago!

"I knew that I was going to need help, so I used Google to find a trainer, Joe Trombetta (CPT), and joined Best Fitness gym. Joe helped me set goals for losing 40 pounds of fat, at 1 to 2 pounds a week, and putting on 5 pounds of muscle. The trainer option turned out to be key to my success. Joe spent a lot of time with me on how to approach my eating and exercise plans. I kept a food journal the first 4 months and recorded everything I ate. We reviewed this weekly, and it was a big help knowing I needed to own up to my diet.
My old eating habits were to skip breakfast, eat big lunches and dinners, and then snack in the evening. Joe changed my eating intervals to 5 to 6 times a day, starting with carbohydrates in the morning and switching over to lean proteins as the day goes on.
An example of my new eating habits is:
1) Breakfast: Protein Shake, one Banana, frozen fruit, milk, one scoop of Whey Protein (sometimes natural peanut butter or some raw oats)
2) Morning Snack: Dry roasted almonds
3) Lunch: Veggie burger in whole grain bun with veggies
4) Afternoon Snack: Cottage Cheese or Yogurt (low fat)
5) Dinner: Lean protein (most often chicken or fish) with veggies. I avoid pasta and high carb dinners.
6) Evening Snack: Dark green veggies and some turkey lunch meat (this is the tough one)!
How did I maintain this? Cheat days! I ended up not needing regular cheat days but usually had two full out ones each month. My trainer swore up and down how your tastes will change, and he was absolutely right. I now find some of the things that I used to eat far too sweet.
My workout plan was 3 days a week of cardio focusing on low weight and high repetitions. We'd concentrate on either legs or upper body with core conditioning each day. The workouts were intense, but I can't even explain the feeling of leaving the gym knowing I worked hard and looked better. I was intimidated at first, thinking "Great! I'm a middle aged fat man that will look ridiculous in a gym." I got over this quickly. There are all types and shapes at the gym, and the last thing you think about while working out is how you look.
Now, 6 months later, I weigh 191 pounds (weight loss of 41 pounds) with a BMI of 25.2 (the high edge of normal weight), body fat at 23% (goal is 14%), and blood pressure at 128/72 with a resting heart rate in the low 60s.
I think the weight loss of one to two pounds a week was a very good approach. I wasn't starving myself and was able to become accustomed to the eating changes. I'm much happier where I am now and notice that the normal stuff (yard work, stairs, and playing with my son) is not wearing me out. Now I'm looking forward to my next goal!"
As a medical professional who strives for optimal health and well-being I couldn't have asked for a more professional personal trainer than of which I found in Joe. He is able to truly listen and hear what his clients want and need. His wealth of knowledge, skills, and motivating me during our workout sessions has truly helped me improve and strive for my optimal fitness goals.

Working with Joe has done a lot for me. I have worked with him for five months every Tuesday and Friday after school. The reason I started working with him was to work on my strength for volleyball. We worked on my legs, core, and upper body strength. I showed a lot of improvement. It is easier for me to jump for blocking and hitting. The upper body and core strengthening has helped me with hitting and passing. So you can pretty much say it helped out all parts of the game. I am very thankful for Joe helping during the off season to improve my strength.

I am a women with CP also known as cerebral palsy. Everyone that I went to said that I would need surgery. I went to see Joe and see if there was anything that he could do. We did stretching and now my legs feel better and I don't need surgery. This is cool because I couldn't afford to take off work for the recovery time and I am able to do things that the doctor said that I couldn't do unless I had surgery.
